A brief note to model train publishers

We believe this site has the potential to strengthen your business and your readership. Fresh articles in print will always have value, but we suggest you use this site as an opportunity for free advertising, while serving the model train community at large.

Unlike Wikipedia, articles posted here can preserve copyright.

Here is our suggestion: Take your backlog of old articles and post them here. Each article can have, along with the text and pictures from the article, one graphic for your magazine, up to 150px wide and 150px high, that links through to your website.

You can also have a description box, something like "This article is posted courtesy of Amazing Model Trains Magazine: Your source for model trains (links to your home page.)"

The article must be locked, so it cannot be edited by others, and would include at the bottom your original © copyright notice, plus "Used by permission." and "All rights reserved."

Think of it as a way to generate revenue from old content, while building subscribers and helping the model train community.

Sidebar advertising is welcome, too.
