How to Add Pictures to Pages

print
Contents

To add a picture to a page you are editing, you can click on the Image link in the Quicktags on the left, and fill in the appropriate information there, if you are comfortable with doing that.

Far easier, though, is simply to upload the picture you want to include on the page:

While editing the page, click on Browse next to the box beside "Upload picture" at the bottom of the editing page. That opens up an explorer window on your computer, where you select a file to upload. (If you have a Mac or other operating system, the process will be slightly different, but it works the same way once you've chosen the file.)

When you select your file, you will be back in the editing box, and you will see something that looks like this:

{img src="img/wiki_up/BHG_Silverton300.jpg" }

When you save the edits, it will look like this:

Thats about all there is to it. Experienced html editors may want to add more features, but look in the TikiWiki documentation for how to do that.
